- Is Faith Baptist Church the same church as Faith Baptist Tabernacle?
- Yes. The church began in March 1974 as Faith Baptist Tabernacle, when Pastor Richard Harding and his wife, Susan, came to Williston. Today we go by Faith Baptist Church. Some older listings still show the old name, and the old web address, fbtwilliston.com, now brings you here. It is the same church in the same place, at 17531 NE Hwy 27A.
- Is this First Baptist Church of Williston?
- No. First Baptist Church is a different church in Williston. We are Faith Baptist Church, on NE Hwy 27A just outside town. If you are not sure which one you are looking for, call us at (386) 473-4399 and we will gladly help.
- Who is the pastor?
- Brother Jayson Hill. He was saved at sixteen, and in 2011 he graduated from the DeLand School of the Bible under Pastor James W. Knox. He then taught in the Bible School and the adult Sunday School at The Bible Baptist Church, and served twelve years as its Children's Church and Bus Ministry Director. He first preached here on March 1, 2026, and accepted the pastorate that spring. He and his wife, Merissa, want a church family that is welcoming, Christ-honoring, and firmly grounded in Scripture.
- I have questions about being saved. Who can I talk to?
- Call or text the church at (386) 473-4399, or write to us through the contact page, and someone will be glad to talk with you or pray with you. Our statement of faith puts it this way: "We believe salvation is available to all men by grace through faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ, apart from human works or merit of any kind." The Are You Saved? page sets out the gospel from the King James Bible, step by step.
- Do I need to be baptized to be saved, or to become a member?
- No. Our statement of faith says: "We believe that water baptism is a public testimony made by the saved Christian and plays no part in salvation or making one a member of the church." If you have trusted Christ and would like to be baptized, we would be honored to talk with you about it.
- How can I give?
