Seven Dispensations - Dominion

Seven Dispensations - Dominion | Pastor Jayson Hill Sunday Morning Service · Genesis 1:26 · Faith Baptist Church, Williston, Florida A study in the seven dispensations: how mankind lost the dominion God gave him in Eden, and why the Bible calls Satan the god of this world. In this message: • God's original design gave mankind dominion over all the earth (Genesis 1:26) • At the fall man yielded that authority to the serpent, and the promise of dominion is not repeated again until a new heaven and a new earth (Genesis 3:4-6) • Satan offers Christ the kingdoms of the world, and Christ never disputes his claim to them (Luke 4:2-8) • This is not the kingdom age; when Christ takes the throne He comes with a sword and justice will be served (Psalm 2:12) • The god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not (2 Corinthians 4:3-4) • The lost walk according to the prince of the power of the air, taken captive by him at his will (Ephesians 2:1-2) • God's will, man's will and the devil's will; preach the gospel with patience, meekness and grace (2 Timothy 2:23-26) • The serpent was cursed to eat dust, and man was formed of the dust of the ground (Genesis 3:14; Genesis 2:7) • Believers are delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of His dear Son (Colossians 1:12-13) Scripture: Genesis 1:26 · Genesis 3:4 · Genesis 3:6 · Genesis 3:14 · Genesis 2:7 · Luke 4:2-8 · Psalm 2:12 · 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 · Ephesians 2:1-2 · 2 Timothy 2:23-26 · Colossians 1:12-13 · Jude 1 · Psalm 145:8-11 Also in this service: Congregational hymns 46 "O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing," 472 "Heavenly Sunlight," 212 "Nothing but the Blood of Jesus" and closing hymn 227 "The Cleansing Wave"; the scripture song was Psalm 145:8-11; announcements covered Friday soul winning in Williston and the Lord's Supper next Sunday during the Sunday school hour, with congregational prayer for those recovering, for expecting mothers, and for the salvation of the lost.
