Ye Must Be Born Again | Pastor Jayson Hill Sunday Morning Service · John 3:1-12 · Faith Baptist Church, Williston, Florida From John 3, Jesus tells Nicodemus, a religious leader, 'Ye must be born again.' The new birth is a necessity, not an option, and it changes the life of everyone who receives it. In this message: • Nicodemus, a Pharisee and ruler of the Jews, is told he must be born again (John 3:1-7) • Jesus uses earthly things to explain heavenly things, and the requirement is to believe (John 3:12; John 6:63) • Born of water is the first, physical birth; born of the Spirit is the new birth. Baptism does not save (John 3:5-6) • 'Ye' is plural: everyone must be born again.
