The Law of Sowing and Reaping | Pastor Jayson Hill
Sunday Morning Service · Genesis 3:11-19 · Faith Baptist Church, Williston, Florida
Continuing the study of the seven dispensations in Genesis 3, a message on the law God set in the earth from the beginning: whatever a man sows, that he reaps, and it comes back multiplied.
In this message:
• Genesis 3:11-19 — one act of disobedience brings curse after curse on the serpent, the woman, the man and the ground
• Adam was made a gardener, so he understood sowing and reaping before the curse ever came
• You cannot sow one thing and reap another — the ground only answers to what is put in it
• There is a multiplication factor in reaping — one corn of wheat falls into the ground and brings forth much fruit (John 12:24)
• When lust hath conceived it bringeth forth sin, and sin when it is finished bringeth forth death (James 1:15)
• Cain follows his father's occupation and his father's sin, sows blood into the ground, and sin is multiplied sevenfold (Genesis 4:1-15)
• They have sown the wind and they shall reap the whirlwind — barren stalks, no fruit (Hosea 8:7)
• He that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; he that soweth to the Spirit shall reap life everlasting (Galatians 6:7-9)
• God gives a different seed — born again of incorruptible seed by the word of God, and the gospel sown into others multiplies into eternity (1 Peter 1:22-25)
Scripture: Genesis 3:11-19 · John 12:24 · James 1:15 · Genesis 4:1-15 · Hosea 8:7 · Galatians 6:7-9 · 1 Peter 1:22-25
